Step By Step Video Guide From Ofcom – How To Complain

Today we feature a really helpful video for those looking how to complain to BT created by Ofcom on how to complain if you have a problem with your communications provider.

The video guide will help you through the complaints process and tell what you need to do each step of the way.

It also explains more about Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) schemes.

There are currently two ADR schemes – Ombudsman Services: Communications and CISAS – and they act as an independent middleman between the service provider and the customer when things go wrong.


Alternatively, Ofcom also have this printed guide which sets out the complaints process.

  1. Please help. We switched from Bt broadband to infinity on 31 Jan. The guy came to switch us over and since then we have been left with nothing. No phone line at all. Therefore no wifi, no alarm system as ours requires a phone line as it’s connected directly to the police station due to a spate of burglaries i.e. Our next door neighbour. The children cannot do their homework which is all based online. The list goes on. What please tell me can I do? The guy who came to connect us didn’t have the courtesy to give us the option to stay with our broadband while sorting out the problem instead left us without anything.
